New Assignment...

Alright girls, on to new adventures! It's time to say goodbye to portraits and hello to buildings... Great job on your portraits. I really enjoyed both of your pictures!

About these buildings, they can be anything old barns, new houses, tree houses, old houses... anything you can find. Try to find some fun architechture... Can't wait to see all your photos!

How much cropping are you guys doing? I wondered if we try to shoot the perfect photo and do less editing (Crop). My last photo's I edited a lot. What do you think?
With buildings I think sometimes cropping is ideal because you can get a specific part of architechtual design but maybe we post before and after cropping? Just a thought.
When is your favorite time to take pictures. If I wanted to take pictures of a building at night what exposure etc... do I need to use?
Sharece do you have any notes? Suzy any information you can give me?

I don't think it matters whether you crop or not as long as you get your desired results. Out of all mine I just posted, I only cropped one and it was just barely to cut the bumper of a car out of the bottom left corner. That's just me, I'm not much of a cropper.
We need to get together when you get back to Heber (Jenny) and have a lesson on night shots. I suck at them. Get prepared to teach Sharece!

O boy, I love night shots! That makes me excited! Alright, here are some things to try. On your camera there are different settings, you know. Auto, P, Tv, Av, and M (Unless you have something besides Nikon you may have an A and S instead of Tv and Av.) For night shots the first thing I would have you try is playing with the Tv (S) -Shutter priority. If it's too bright shorten the shutter speed, and if it's dark make it longer.

I'll send some notes sometime, but I think I'm going to go to bed early tonight. I feel awful. It's probably the Swine Flu... jk.

Questions, call me. And we'll get more in depth when we get together.
