A Week in the Life of Suzy

So here's my contribution for a photo a day assignment. Nothing too thrilling, but hey, that's life!
#1 is Tuesday.
Like I said, it's Laundry day and I love to hang my wash on the line to dry.#2 Wednesday
We went to the park and this is my favorite shot of Braydee.
#3 Thursday
This was a very colorful sunset out my back door.
#4 Friday
I refinished my kitchen table.
#5 Saturday
T-Ball day (actually coach pitch). This is Austin on 1st base.
#6 Sunday
We went camping overnight up to Main Canyon. This is the road we went up on our 4 wheelers for a ride. (me and Austin)
#7 Monday
This is the face I see on Braydee quite often right now. She has these little tantrums all the time. Kind of gets old, but she's still stinkin' cute.
I'm going to continue to take a photo a day until we get a new assignment when Jenny is back with us. So expect to see more of the exciting life in Fruitland this week.

A Picture A Day

New assignment Ladies! This is actually Jenny's idea, but since she is busy flitting around Europe, having the time of her life, we thought we would go ahead and post it so that the other two of us, stuck here, can get moving on it!
This week (and into next I'm sure) it is a Picture A Day!
Take a shot a day that represents that day, or something that inspires or moves you that day. It was laundry day when I took this shot. Clothes on the line, nothing like it. Good luck ladies! The hardest part for me will be narrowing it down to just one shot per day!

Night, Night Baby

So I finally went out and took some night shots! I know shame on me for taking SOOO long. These were all taken on my balcony (and in my room) because I couldn't go too far away with my baby sleeping and no one here to watch him, but me. So anyway, here are some of my night pictures.

#1
I wanted to use a flashlight, but all I could find was matches. You can see the smoke rings in the back. #2
I was trying to write my name. It's hard to do backwards... in the air... and with a match!
#3
Saying "HI" to my dear sister-in-laws. (I look scary in that one!)
#4
Construction... You can see how bumpy our road is at the moment by looking at the headlights zigzagging along the road.
#5
Who knew we had so many stars here? All I could see with the naked eye was maybe 4 stars. Pretty cool more showed up.
#6
I know, I'm obsessed with my "garden". Here is my watering can with the shadow of my tomato tree on it.
#7
A tomato blossom with a street lamp behind it.
#8
Look at how you can see the little hairs on the tomato plant. Pretty snazzy, huh?

My Best Attempt

Here's my best attempt at this assignment. I don't have any that I really love, but it's not for a lack of trying!

Night Pictures

Here are a few night shots I took a while ago. The first two are showing how different settings can make such a big difference on how the picture looks. (Color, Light, ect.)
#1#2

These are 2 different pictures taken from the same spot with the same camera setting. (I just put them side by side so you can compare.)
#3- Red Light--Green Light
#4- This was taken from my balcony.

I think that altogether #4 is a better picture, but if you look closely at those tail lights turning onto the street, you can see his blinker! I love it!
#5
Now that I'm home I'll try to get some different night shots around here. It's hard cuz Bryce works nights so I can't really go to far from my house when it's dark. Jason would not be happy camper. But I'll try to find some fun stuff around here!

Night Horrors

Hello Ladies. I titled this post "Night Horrors" because my pictures are pretty scary....meaning, they are pathetic. I don't have any city lights to play with so I had to try to be creative, and unfortunately it sucks. I do love this moon shot. It's a lot like the other one that I posted for the assignment, but a different night. I wish I had a big old zoom lens!I know these aren't technically night shots, but kind of. Silhouettes are really hard as well. Especially when Austin in in constant motion.
#2It was really fun.
#3
So I decided to wait until it got pitch black outside and then break out one little lamp and try to play with that light. I must have taken a hundred pictures and I only have one I like and it still is really dark.
#4

This is the one I like. Kind of a cool color. This is the flower I posted in reflections (the orange one). I love the red-orange glow they have in here.
#5

#6

Then I tired of trying flowers so I tried some of my Willow Tree figurines. Nothing too exciting here.
#7

#8
This one is actually just before sunset. It was the other day when it was so windy that you couldn't see anything because of all the dust in the air. I thought it looked really cool, so I decided to share.
#9
I need to make a night trip into town to get some headlights or streetlights or something.

Night Shots

Sharece is in charge of this week's assignment, but the poor thing is so busy this week that I thought I would officially post the assignment so we can get going. This weeks assignment.....NIGHT SHOTS! I'm scared to death. This means I acutally have to play with all of my settings. Good luck girls!

The Morning

So this is the earliest I am willing to get out of bed to take pictures... And the sun is already way up in the sky. Maybe another day :)
New assignment anyone??

One More Reflection...

I took this picture when we were working on reflections and I just found it today. It's pretty fun, so I thought I'd share. The reflection is in the water droplet!
