Fruitland Life

I don't really love any of these, but this is Fruitland Life. We don't have any old stores or train stations or any of that. Just some old wood homes that amaze me. I can't believe people actually lived in these. What an adventure. No water. No heat. No bathroom! And in most of them I can't even stand up straight, or even come close to standing up straight. I've never been a big fan of Sepia colored pictures, but it's growing on me. These seem to work, at least in my opinion.

I tired to play with the effects and stuff to make them look more interesting. Maybe I needed to be closer, but unfortunately I was closer already than I probably should have been. I would have like to look inside, but I didn't dare get any closer.

"post" HAPPY

#7

I guess I am "post" happy tonight.
Here again is a picture I really did not care for, but with a little crop and the b & w to make it look classic I like it more.
BTW, my parent are leaving tomorrow for the weekend so I guess my picture taking will slow since I will not have a babysitter. : (

I didn't like this photo at all, then after playing with it a bit and moving the focus upward I couldn't decide if I liked it better in color or in B&W.
What do you think?

Structures of Beauty

Here's my first contribution to this assignment. I took a trip to Provo and got some shots of the temple and some academy down there.

Can you tell I loved the trees and stuff all in bloom??

It was fun to see that Spring really is here, even if you can't tell here in Fruitland.

This isn't really of the building, but I thought it was cool. It is the well for an old school house (seen behind).

These are some old houses that we found while driving down 9 Mile Canyon.

More to come.........sometime. I love this assignment. The buildings are more willing to stand there and let me get the right shot. And I took a LOT of shots.

New Assignment...

Alright girls, on to new adventures! It's time to say goodbye to portraits and hello to buildings... Great job on your portraits. I really enjoyed both of your pictures!

About these buildings, they can be anything old barns, new houses, tree houses, old houses... anything you can find. Try to find some fun architechture... Can't wait to see all your photos!

Eyes of a Predator

Portraits

This was good assignment for me, I didn't get the chance to go out and take many pictures this time but I learned so much. I loved taking pictures with my subject on a hill, using the grass (for an example) as my background. I also liked trying "new" elevations while taking the pictures, sometimes I took looking down at the subject while others pointing the camera up.
I took some other pictures with mirrors in the background that added interest as well. I want to do this assignment again, I think I can improve my pictures tons!

Messy hair Aiden with messy hair Jacob below!

No shower Brian, I wouldn't let him shower because I wanted him to leave his scruff and I knew that he would shave it off. THIS IS BRIAN RIGHT AFTER HE WOKE UP! I wish my hair would do that! : )

Self Portrait

I HATE pictures of myself, but I was unable to find a willing subject, so unfortunately here I am. It does help you get a closer look at yourself. I don't know if that's a good thing or not.
I wish I would have done a more interesting background. Oh well. My portrait assignment is done. Next???

Portraits of a "mamos"

Last but not least, I am finally posting some pictures. I "made" my mom come out and let me snap a few photos. I hope to get some of Brian tomorrow before he leaves but I don't think it is going to happen! I also took some of random people in the grocery store, didn't like them as much as having my mom as a subject.

Portraits... Finally

You know, for starting off so fast it sure has taken me a loooong time to finish these portraits. You guys wouldn't let me cheat and take pictures of my babe, so my sister was kind enough to let me practice on her. And lucky for me she's just stinkin' cute, and very photogenic. I used to make her pose for me all the time for me when I was in my photo class back in high school. She's such a good sport! Okay enough blabbing, here they are. Tell me what you think. And if you feel the urge, show me how to improve them also!
